Style Report: Summer Whites

• White bags are a timeless staple year-round, but they’re especially fresh in the summer months.
• Clean, minimal and sophisticated, they offer a luxe look without feeling overdone.
• Here’s how to style white bags with all your warm weather outfits.

Nowadays, there are no hard-and-fast fashion rules, especially when it comes to when you can or cannot wear white. Not only is sporting white year-round acceptable, it’s encouraged—just picture a smooth white leather bag paired with a dark knit sweater when the cold comes around.

Still, there’s something undeniably crisp and refreshing about summer whites. Learn why the iconic neutral is such a popular shade in the warm weather months, plus how to incorporate white bags into all your breezy summer styles.

Timeless Style

Sure, we might be focusing on styling white handbags for summer right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear them year-round—ever heard of winter whites? In the summer months, pair a crisp white shoulder bag with lightweight linens. And when the weather cools down, pair your smooth leather plus-one with dark-toned chunky knits for added contrast. There’s always a way to incorporate a white bag into your outfit, no matter the time of year.

Luxe Look

White bags are clean, minimal and sophisticated (without looking or feeling too over the top). They’re subtly statement-worthy, making them ideal for creating a luxe look you can wear every day. Plus, when crafted with gleaming brass hardware, a white bag will elevate even the most casual outfits.

Unrivalled Versatility

Just like a black or brown bag, a white bag is a wardrobe staple, serving as a fresh take on a classic neutral. Wear your white bag with pretty much any other colour or pattern in your closet without having to worry about whether it goes. Style with muted pastels, bold floral patterns or more neutrals. The choice is yours.

Play with Texture

Pair a white leather bag with pillow quilting (like the Tabby) with a smooth satin skirt, vintage cotton tee or light denim jacket for a mix of textures that adds depth to any warm weather outfit.

Create Contrast

Heading out in your favourite little black dress? Add a white shoulder bag to your look for striking contrast. Style tip: Carry it as a clutch for an elevated finishing touch.

Go Monochromatic

Look effortlessly put-together with a monochromatic style, pairing your bag with a white sundress, matching white linen set or white denim shorts and tank. It’s an easy way to make a statement this summer without going too bold.
